Three factors people forget about when choosing a hotel

So it’s sorted. You’ve decided you’re going on holiday and you’ve chosen Blackpool. How exciting! But what’s next? You need to pick the right hotel. Luckily, you’re spoilt for choice. Blackpool is an extremely popular holiday destination as the UK’s most popular seaside resort, so finding the perfect hotel shouldn’t be too tricky.

But there’s a lot to consider. Obviously, price is important as well as the facilities and, for some, accessibility. But we’re going to be looking at some of the factors people can forget when they’re busy choosing. So let’s get straight to it…

Choosing the perfect location

Thanks to Blackpool being quite compact, you’re never too far away from the action. Alternatively, if you’re looking for the path less trodden, you can easily escape as most tourists tend to hang around the sights and attractions. So it’s a case of asking if you want to be right there in the middle of the action or if you’d rather be somewhere more quiet.

Finding the atmosphere that suits you

You get all kinds of groups visiting Blackpool. Some are on a hen or stag do, some are looking for thrills at Pleasure Beach, and some just want to lounge around in the sun with a cold pint and some chips. Whatever type of holiday you’re after, make sure your hotel matches it.

Some hotels are more popular with the party crowd. Some might not have a bar, meaning you can’t enjoy that cold pint. You can usually tell what crowd a hotel is popular with at a glance of their website. But be certain by checking TripAdvisor, Facebook, and other social media. Don’t let that group of 20-somethings shouting until the early hours of the morning ruin your holiday - unless that’s what you want!

Finding world-class evening entertainment

Last but not least is the hotel’s entertainment. Cabaret acts are synonymous with Blackpool. And many of the hotels in Blackpool offer some form of entertainment for the evenings. So with so much on offer, you might as well narrow it down to the hotels with the best acts, right?

It’s simpler than it sounds too. A quick scan through TripAdvisor and social media should give you some insight into the hotel’s entertainment. And, often, the acts will have their own personal profiles where they might post past performances. For those who don’t care for live performances, checking if the hotel has alternate entertainment might be a good idea. Perhaps bingo?

There are many factors you need to consider when choosing a hotel for your stay. These are just a handful of the ones we feel tend to escape people’s minds during their search. So get researching and find the perfect one for you!
